Brett Hood has been working on Jacob’s Farm for seven years. His favorite part about working on the farm is that he gets to interact with people from all walks of life and all ages. As a retired kindergarten teacher of 20 years he enjoys being able to create fun, interactive maze themes each year. Brett chose Michigan Shipwrecks as this year’s theme because he enjoys being able to educate others about interesting historical facts that come right from our Great Lakes. “There is so much history behind Michigan Shipwrecks and many shipwrecks are still being discovered, I knew it was the perfect theme idea.”

At Jacob’s Farm we spare nothing to assure that your experience will create lasting memories. We employ ten acres of farmland to create this experience and develop our plan using computer aided design technology and GPS to insure that everything is just right. Our maze design is changed each year and information contained within the maze reflects this design. Plan on being entertained for as long as two hours as you navigate the trails. This A-MAZE-ING adventure opens in late August and runs all the way through October.

General Admission $12.00
Children ages 5-11 $8.00
Under 4 Free

Grand Hotel – Murder Mystery Weekend – October 23 – 25, 2020

Grand Hotel - Murder Mystery Weekend

Consider yourself warned – not everything is how it seems at Grand Hotel during Murder Mystery Weekend. Join us in October for an interactive Murder Mystery Weekend brought to you by The Murder Mystery Company – founded in Michigan. The intrigue begins Friday night and the crime is solved Sunday morning.

Announcing The 2020 Murder Mystery Weekend Theme – The Roaring Twenties

No one throws a soiree like Gatsby! “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody.” The glamour of the roaring twenties, the glitz and opulence of wealth where no expense is spared, men and women dressed to the 9’s… Only for one of the gathered luminaries to make an unexpected and very permanent exit. It’s not a game old sport, but it may be the classiest murder of all time!

Upon check-in, you will receive your first packet of information and clues. Friday will be the kick-off performance which will set the tone of events and when the first murder takes place.

On Saturday there will be a brief gathering with the Detective who will explain the clue hunt that involves finding some of the suspects in different locations throughout the hotel. This will also allow guests some time on their own to enjoy the beauty of Mackinac Island and Grand Hotel.

Come back on Saturday afternoon where Act II will be performed and another murder will take place. The evening will conclude with three interactive mystery experiences and guests in different groups will be rotated into the mystery experiences. These will include: investigating a crime scene, suspect interrogation, and training with the Detective on how to catch somebody in a lie.

Sunday morning the murderer will be caught and the mystery will be solved!

Come join the intrigue and help solve the year’s mystery with entertainment all weekend, a full breakfast and dinner daily, Saturday Grand Luncheon Buffet, evening receptions, and free golf green fees on The Jewel (cart fee required).

*Stay an additional night Sunday, October 25, 2020, for $259 per room, per night. (additional rates apply)
