Grand Hotel – Murder Mystery Weekend – October 22 – 24, 2021

Grand Hotel - Murder Mystery Weekend

Consider yourself warned: Not everything is how it seems at Grand Hotel during Murder Mystery Weekend. Join us in October for an interactive Murder Mystery Weekend brought to you by The Murder Mystery Company, founded in Michigan. The intrigue begins Friday night and the crime is solved Sunday morning.

2021 Murder Mystery Weekend Theme:

What happened in 1887?

This invite comes from somebody with murder on their mind. The year is 1887, and you are invited to the opening of Grand Hotel, located on Mackinac Island in northern Michigan. Your invitation promises plenty of excitement and intrigue. However, beyond the glitz and glamour of this event lies something more sinister.

You and your party play the detective in this interactive game of mystery and murder behind the closed doors of Grand Hotel. What happened in 1887? Investigate the scene of the crime, interrogate suspects, and solve a murder. This one-of-a-kind event promises to be nothing short of a “Grand” ol’ time.

After celebrating the roaring twenties we are ready to provide guests with another exciting time to remember in 2021.

Upon check-in, receive your first packet of information and clues. Friday is the kick-off performance, which sets the tone of events and when the first murder takes place.

On Saturday, there is a brief gathering with the Detective, who explains the hunt for clues. (This also allows you some time on your own to enjoy the beauty of Mackinac Island and Grand Hotel.)

Come back on Saturday afternoon, when Act II is performed and another murder takes place. The evening concludes with three interactive mysteries, where guests in different groups will be rotated into the mystery experiences.

Sunday morning the mystery is solved!

Legacy Five at Grand Hotel – October 24, 2021

Legacy Five

Come experience Legacy Five performing live at Grand Hotel! Enjoy the Gospel and Christian music of band members:

Lee Black – Tenor
Scott Fowler – Lead Singer
Bryan Walker – Baritone
Matt Fouch – Bass
Josh Townsend – Pianist

This October, we look forward to welcoming Legacy Five back to the Grand stage. When the Legendary Cathedral Quartet retired in December of 1999, Scott Fowler and Roger Bennett decided to continue the rich musical tradition of Southern Gospel Quartet singing. Legacy Five was organized and had their official debut in January 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Since that day, they have made a major mark on the Southern Gospel Music world. Immediately audiences responded overwhelmingly to their four-part harmony and their ability to effectively communicate the message of Christ. Since the quartet’s formation, they have established and maintained a firm place at the top of Christian music.

The Legacy Five overnight package includes accommodations, dinner the night of arrival in the Main Dining room, breakfast Monday morning in the Main Dining Room, Sunday evening concert, and Monday morning worship. We are honored to have this group perform for our guests this fall.

To learn more, follow their Facebook page or visit their website.

Accompanying Legacy Five this fall are musical acts Endless Highway and Uriel Vega. Endless Highway is a family comprised of Jason and Vanessa Griggs and their two children, Jay and Allison. Endless Highway offers a blend of Southern Gospel, Bluegrass Gospel, Acapella, and Acoustic Music. Uriel Vega is a R&B jazz saxophonist who strives to create music with the sole purpose of inspiring and comforting the world.
