Fall Color Update - October 24, 2012
Upper Peninsula - Overall almost all of the Upper Peninsula is “past peak”. However, you can catch the last of the fall color and enjoy the year-round beauty of the Upper Peninsula by touring regions with incredible vistas like the Porcupine Mountains or tracking down the best of the waterfalls of the U.P. such as Tahquamenon Falls.
Northern Lower Michigan - Most of the peak color is now past in Northern Lower Michigan also. You’ll find the best color of the season on routes near the shorelines of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Mackinac Island, and other islands, are always good place to catch the last of the color in the fall. Harvest season events and Halloween activities will be happening throughout Northern Lower Michigan. You can visit the Haunted Forest at Crystal Mountain or experience the Zipline of Terror at Boyne Mountain. Check out the events page for some of the best of the late season fall events.

September 22 - 23, 2012 - Mostly Early Color with some Peak color in the Upper Peninsula
September 29 - 30, 2012 - Peak Color Weekend with some past peak areas in the Upper Peninsula
October 6 - 7, 2012 - Late Peak Color this Weekend, Many Regions with Past Peak Color in the Upper Peninsula
October 13 - 14, 2012 - Mostly Past Peak Color Weekend (but still some color) in the Upper Peninsula
Northern Lower Michigan
September 29 - 30, 2012 - Early Color Weekend with some isolated peak color in Northern Lower Michigan
October 6 - 7, 2012 - Early Color to Peak Color Weekend in Northern Lower Michigan
October 13 - 14, 2012 - Peak Color to Past Peak Color Weekend in Northern Lower Michigan
October 20 - 21, 2012 - Peak to Past Peak Color Weekend (look for the best of the remaining color near the lakeshore) in Northern Lower Michigan
