Fall Color Report – October 2, 2024
We’re beginning to see hints of red, yellow, and orange, particularly at the tops of the trees, with maples being the most vibrant so far. While a few trees have fully transitioned to their fall colors, northern Michigan is still largely green. Based on current forecasts, we expect peak fall colors to arrive around the second week of October, offering a stunning backdrop just in time for our annual Harvest Fest event.

When ski season’s in full swing, it’s easy to overlook the fact that the chairlift ride is half the fun. So each year, during the offseason, we keep our Hemlock lift running – providing stunning panoramic views of the valley. Whether you capture the lush green of spring or the brilliant foliage of fall, you’ll certainly appreciate the lift.
$15 per day for non-resort lodging guests
Tickets available at the Ticket Window
All rides (both complimentary and paid), must have a ticket
Your ticket includes all-day access to thrills and stunning views from the scenic two-person chairlift and SkyBridge Michigan. Cross first thing in the morning, stay late to catch the sunset, or watch the changing landscape throughout the day. Lawn games, seating, and restrooms are located on Disciples Overlook.
Panoramic Valley Views Year Round
Venture along the 1,200-foot-long, 118-foot-high pedestrian bridge between McLouth and Disciples Ridge peaks, overlooking the Boyne Valley. Take the paved loop to see the bridge from all angles. Every season is a guaranteed camera-pleaser.
Eat Your Heart Out
Eat and play to your tummy’s content at the Eagle’s Nest and SkyBridge Michigan Food Truck. Treat your taste buds to a Polish basket at the SkyBridge Food Truck, or stop by the Eagle’s Nest for a drink before your descent.

We are excited to announce our 2nd Annual Balloons Over Bay Harbor event that will take place in the Village at Bay Harbor, September 17 & 18, 2021. Our first annual event in 2019 was a great success and drew thousands over the weekend to witness some of the most beautiful hot air balloons, lifting high over Little Traverse Bay.
The balloon glows in the evening were absolutely breathtaking, with reflections mirrored in Bay Harbor Lake. We were unable to have our event in 2020 because of the strict guidelines for gatherings that we adhered to. However, in 2021 we are excited to be hosting some of the best pilots in the nation who compete in national festivals across the country and overseas.
There will be flight activity throughout the weekend and the amazing “night glows” taking place on the marina lawn panel scheduled for both Friday and Saturday evenings.
The Taste of Harbor Springs is happening this year and the prices are staying the same! This year we celebrate 26 years of raising funds for culinary scholarships! Your admission will help area professionals pursue their dreams in the culinary arts.
This very popular fundraising event takes place at the waterfront in Harbor Springs on September 18, 2021 from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Enjoy tastes from participating restaurants with your admission ticket – drink tickets for beer and wine are separate. There will be water coolers on site in addition to the ticketed drinks.
Every admission ticket does include a commemorative “26th Annual Taste of Harbor Springs” glass!
Tickets purchased in advance are $30. After 5p, Friday, September 17, and at the door, tickets are $45. As always, we are limited to 750 maximum ticket sales. NOTE: we have sold out in the past. Advance ticket purchase strongly recommended.
